A "Dream Home" for the 2010 Remodeler's Showcase on October 1-3, 2010
This home was originally completed in 1934 for Mrs. DeBerry,
the granddaughter of American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The
design of the house mimicked many ideas of Longfellow's own Craigie
Manor in Cambridge, Mass., where young Erica spent her childhood. Both
homes are classic examples of Colonial architecture. The brick was
imported from Virginia, and all of the Cypress paneling was imported
from the South and done on-site by master woodcarvers.
